Unless this was a naval vessel (for which I have sparse records), I would guess that this is another of those instances in which the name has been wrongly quoted by divers (not an uncommon occurrence as you know).
In the usual references for the Second World War, there is no Albert Wilhelm listed, and the latest Lloyd's Register book likely to have listed it if it existed, namely 1940-41, does not show it.
During the war the Netherlands steamer SINT PHILIPSLAND (built 1916, 2370 gross tons) was taken over by Germany and renamed ALBERT JANUS; this vessel was reported sunk in Orstenfjord on 5 December 1944.
