The history of the Dominican warships is little known but here is what I have managed to assemble:

DESTROYERS:
TRUJILO (D-101) Built 1935 as Hunt class HMS Hotspur. Bought 1948.Renamed DUARTE(D-501) in 1962. Took part in the 1965 civil war. Paid off in 1972 or according to other sources stricken in 1988.

GENERALISIMO (D-102) ex-Hunt class HMS Fame. Bought 1948. Renamed SANCHEZ (D-502) in 1962. Paid off 1968 and scrapped.

FRIGATES:
PRESIDENTE TRUJILO (F-103) ex-hmcs Carplace. Bought 1946. Renamed Mella in 1962. Decision to become museum 1994 not implented and scrapped in 1999.

JUAN PABLO DUARTE (F-102) ex-hmcs Annan.Bought 1947. Grounded in 1949 at Puerto Plata and sold to a Puerto Rican and converted to a yacht named Moineau.

PRESIDENTE TRONCOSO (F-103) ex-USS Pueblo.Bought 1947. Renamed General Gregorio Lupenton in 1962. Grounded at Puerto Plata in 1979 by a cyclone. Scrapped 1982.

PRESIDENTE PEYNADO (F-104) EX-uss Knoxville. Bought 1947, renamed Capitan General Pedro santana (F-453) in 1962 and scrapped in 1979.
