CONVOY HX 90
(Will be updated - please compare with A. Hague's listing for this convoy at ships in all HX convoys. See also HX escorts).

Info on ships sunk and Commodore's notes are available on Page 2
Laconia's report can be found on Page 3

Departed Halifax on Nov. 21-1940, arrived Liverpool on Dec. 5
(Arnold Hague's "The Allied Convoy System" gives 35 ships in this convoy).

Transcribed from several documents received from Roger Griffiths - His source: Public Records Office, Kew.

Crossed out ships did not sail - underlined ships lost touch and/or returned to port.

Stations given are stations in combined convoy.

The ships are listed in the order in which they appear on the various documents.

Additionally, the following 4 ships are listed on the A 1 form but are not mentioned in the Advance Sailing Telegram:
Quebec City (Br), sailing in station 42 (cargo of grain and trucks).
The above ship is also mentioned in HMS Laconia's report, which says she joined from Sydney C.B. on Nov. 23.
Corbis (Br), fuel oil for Clyde in station 74.
Ulysses (Dutch) in station 93 with general cargo for Milford Haven (lost touch - see Page 2).
Stirlingshire (Br), in station 95, general cargo for Liverpool (sunk - see Page 2).

* The tonnage given for Pacific in the Advance Telegram for this convoy as well as for the next convoy, HX 91 is 4978, which does not match up with the tonnage given for the Swedish Pacific in Roger W. Jordan's "The World's Merchant Fleets" (3730 gt). Other countries also had ships by this name but none of 4978 gt.

Escorts are named within the Commodore's report and HMS Laconia's report.

To the next HX convoy in my list HX 91
