Good evening!
Some info about Axel,s "ARNE" (LCHL):
This vessel was renamed "Landkjenning" in 1952 and "Røisenes" in 1961. She was a fishing vessel all her life and was finally condemned and scuttled in Voldsfjorden 16/7-1985.
(Source: "Frå segl til damp" by Johan Ottesen)
"OLAVA" (LEOL)passenger, built 1895 by Thorskogs Varv, Sweden as "Björkö", later renamed "Flora". Sold to Norway in 1928, D/S A/S Svinesund, Halden. Taken "in abspruch" 1/3-1945 and was managed by A.Børstad, Oslo. Returned to owners 11/6-1945. (So this vessel could be involved in Siri's List). Due to my sources the vessel was not srapped in 1952, but sold to Stavanger Skibshugnings Co. A/S. They sold her again in 1953 to Harald Paulsen & oths, Stavanger. She was motorised and probably rebuilt to a freighter (New tonnage 48 grt/22 nrt). She sank near Ombo close to Stavanger 3/2-1954. Deleted in Norwegian Register same year.
(Main sources: Norwegian Ship Register 1952-55, and "Länspumpen" 3/1997 & 2/2002) Another of my sources "Skärgårdstrafiken i Bohuslän under 100 år" says that the vessel was built in 1893 and renamed "Flora" when taken back by the shipbuilders in 1895 because the first owners Norra Skärgårdens Ångbåts AB got bankrupt. May be some of our Swedish friends can check this out.
Regards
