Hi everyone,

First time poster here, my dad recently got DNA results back from ancestry.com. He has never known who his father is and my nana has only recently told us that it was a Norwegian sailor but she does not remember his name she is in her 90’s now and was even reluctant to tell us that. So the results came back confirming 47% western Norwegian. Wanting to know if there are any records of what Norwegian ships may have been in port in Edinburgh in Jan or Feb 1945 not sure if it is a merchant ship or not but thought it might be worth a shot. We have had some matches to ppl in Norway on ancestry and awaiting replies. Really appreciate andyone who might have some info for me.
