The whaler CHR.NIELSEN blt.1925, 238gt, was sold in 1935 to A/S Moss Vaerft & Dokk, still registered in Larvik (plans to convert her into a tug for the shipyard?), in 1937 resold to Oluf Holm A/S, Aalesund and converted to fishing vessel SPERM =M-329-A.

In April 1940 used as patrol boat in Norwegian Navy (13. Bevoktningsdivision, Stavanger).

12.04.1940 scuttled by crew to avoid capture by Germans.

Where exactly? If scuttled in harbour one would assume salvage attempts by KM as with many others! What happened to SPERM finally?
