Orion (3)of 3150 tons built in 1914 by A.Vuyk & Zn Cap a.d. IJssel for Koninklijke Nederlandse Stoomboot Mij had number RO 9 (transport ship destined for Operation Seelöwe).
Gordias of 1632 tons built in 1939 by A.Vuyk & Zn Cap a.d. IJssel (previously Jonge Willem of MZC, sold to Koninklijke Nederlandse Stoomboot Mij.) had number RO 25.
Most of the other RO ships were in Rotterdam on 14th May 1940. Where were the Gordias and Orion at that point in time? This is still part of my (not fully answered) question: how many ships were in Rotterdam on 14th May 1940?
Thanks for your help, regards,
Willem
