Hi,
There are 2 Elch, both serving as NS-23 during the war.
Elch(1):
ex Hardhaus (1912/192) commissioned as NS-23 21.6.40. She was returned to her civilian owners 02.09.1941, and traded as coaster. Sank 05.12.1942 outside Lindesnes.
Elch (2):
Ex Sele (Requisitioned 24.04.1941), and commissioned at ??date as NS-23 - Elch (2). During the major refit of the Norwegian flotillas in May/June 1944 the NS-23 was transferred to 51. V-Flotilla and renumbered to V-5110. Surrendered in Bergen May 1945.
Hope this clear up the war stories for the NS-23s.
