Hi Everyone,

Just to let you know that Vol-1 of Silent Warriors, written by Ron Young & Pamela Armstrong and published by Tempus Publishing Ltd, Stroud is now on general sale. It is in 3 volumes about submarines lost around the UK (British and German and even one French). Vol-1 covers the English East coast down to the English Channel and as far as Beachy Head. Over 345 pages and with massive amounts of Nat Archive material that has never seen the light of day until now. Soft back at 19.99.

Cheers Ron

Hello Ron,
Definitely your best one yet. Pam and yourself have done a masterly job. The in depth research makes this book so much better than anything previously published along these lines. Although I have not fully read the book as yet, I particularly liked the easy to understand glossary.
It must have taken many, many hours to collate and analyse all that material. Well done.

Hi Roger

Thanks for the kind comments and, yes, we spent a few hours burning the candles;) Shame the editor, who no longer works for Tempus, left some bits of the original Nat. Archive text out and got some of the RN ranks mixed up in the list of crewmen who died. However that will be put right in the next run.

Cheers Ron
