Hello again Francoa.
The sources for this are the following norwegian books:
1. Norske torpedobåter gjennom 125 år (Norwegian MTB`s through 125 years)
2. Helge Storm Bjerke: Klar til kamp (Ready to fight).Stories about the Norwegian MTB`s and their efforts in the Channel and along the Norwegian coast during WWII.
3. Sjømilitære Samfunds kalender 1814-1964. (Biographical information about Norwegian naval officers)
4. Frank Abelsen: Marinens fartøyer 1940-1945 og deres skjebne (Norwegian naval vessels 1940-45 and their fate)
From the last source:
MTB-54 was returned to the Royal Navy 28.5.1942 and 1.12 the same year out of service and laid up at Haslan. Transferred to War Office. Converted to target towing launch and renamed MONTAUBN.
Yes, I have a photo of MTB-54 but not of Mr. Danielsen.
After the war he was working as a hydrograph until 1958 at the Norwegian Hydrographic Service.
Regards Rolf
