My dad George David Reed or David George Reed, also called "Taffy" was on the Torvanger, the Titanian, Bur, and Galatea between 1940-43.

Dad is seriously ill now, and he'd love to hear from anyone who knew him in his 20's. He rarely spoke of the days as a merchant marine because of the torpedoing of the Torvanger. It's been great to hear his stories, but no one from those ships has ever contacted us.

I have difficulty checking the Norwegian registries. Would the British list him as a seaman, or would the Norwegians?
