My Mother would dearly like to find out what happened to her brother John Donahue (spelling of Donahue varied greatly). In 1941, her father got a short note from the Norwegian Consulate saying that John was dead and they had all his personel effects . Her family never contacted anyone, as they were too upset. It is only now that my Mother would like to know more. I presume he is J. Donace on the Norwegian merchant fleet website.
I would be grateful if anyone knew how he died, or how he lived. He was from Glasgow in Scotland.
