Two messages have been posted to my old forum, which I'm planning on taking down today - below is one of them (I've notified the posters that I've moved them here).

Can anyone tell me if there were any survivors from the SS North Britain? It was sunk on 5th May 1943 off Cape Farewell. My uncle, Brian Dougherty was one of the gunners on the ship and was reported as missing, presumed dead. He was only 20 at the time and I would like to know a little more about the ship and it's mission. Any information would be most gratefully received.
