Cargo ship Riverton, 5,378grt, (R Chapman & Son) was one of five British Merchant ships captured by German troops at the Norweigian port of Narvik whilst loading a cargo of iron ore on the 9th April 1940. The following day the Royal Navy sank the Riverton and the cargo ship Blythmoor while attempting to retake the port. 22 of the Riverton's crew were interned in Sweden. Does anyone have any information on where the crew were taken before Sweden and were they interned for the duration of the war.
