I am very pleasantly surprised to read that all the users for this web site are very expert and professional - makes a change.
One question I would like to ask everybody is "How important, or, how many times does Loch Ewe come up in your questions, answers, observations about WW II convoys. Obviously I am not after numbers, but is it frequent, many, occasional, regular and so on.
I hope to have a UK Public Records Office file on Loch Ewe Naval staff and deployment in the next few weeks.
Earlier on this site I read a report that Loch Ewe was closed down in 1945? - How was this information known to people on the web site?
One web site for everybody to look into, if interested, is the following:-
Submarine detector loops installed around various UK harbours, Scottish Lochs and British Overseas possessions during WW II. The following web site is interesting and related to convoy activities.
