Gentlemen,

On the 4th May 1945 the British Fleet Air Arm made an attack with three aircraft carriers (Queen, Searcher and Trumpter) on a U boat Depot Ship - BLACK WATCH - Olsen line at Kilbotn, Norway.

Nearby there were two other ships - Karl Von Herring and Harald Haaflagger. U 711 was also close by and sunk in the attack.

I am am trying to find out the fate of the Karl Von Herring and the Harald Haaflagger. Does anbody know what happened to them and were they German ships - or - German requisitioned ships?

Thanks.

David Weaver.
Hong Kong.
