HMS MEDWAY II (ex TALBOT, MEDUSA)

I am trying to verify the whereabouts of HMS MEDWAY II during her final days.

According to "Conway's All the World's Fighting Ships 1906-21" HMS MEDUSA was based in Malta and in September 1941 she was renamed HMS TALBOT acting as depot ship for the 10th Submarine Flotilla. In February 1944 she was renamed HMS MEDWAY II when she became depot ship to 1st S/M Flotilla, apparently based in Beirut.
Colledge mentions in "Ships of the Royal Navy" that she was renamed MEDWAY II in 1943 (not 2.44) and that on 21.9.1944 she was renamed MEDUSA. Anyone knows when she moved from Malta to Beirut? Did the MEDUSA renaming actually occurred?

Conway's also mention that she was towed back home [England??] post-war and sold for BU in 1946.
Colledge mentions that she was sold in 9.9.1946 and scrapped in 1947 by Dover Industries.

I believe that the ship was not scrapped in Dover, so any information on her 1944-46 whereabouts are most welcomed.
