Hello Lorenzo,
Trentoincina is in error. The victim's name was VERCELLI (ex French BRESTOIS, 3094 GRT, 1919) and she was bombed near Cape Bon on 29 January 1943 and sank while an attempt to tow her was made. PROCELLERIA was herself mined and sunk on the return trip, at the time she was escorting the damaged destroyer MAESTRALE towed by the torpedo boat AMIMOSO. To answer your separate email:
Of PROCELLERIA's crew five officers, five petty officers, 57 ratings and 31 military passengers were picked up by the German F 481 and F 484 which were in the same convoy. One officer, two P.O. and 18 ratings were lost.
