I have found an old sailor's cap with this name on it. It was in belongings of a deceased relative who, as far as we know, was never in any military service.
My Father was in the American merchant marines during WWII, but the cap was not with his belongings.
I found the "D/S Haarfagre" on the ships' list, same ship - different spelling?
Anyone have any information?
